About this walk

This is a lovely circular route from the Blue Bell pub in the centre of Ingleby Cross. It is a 5 mile trek along decent paths which actually form part of the famous Coast 2 Coast route. The first couple of miles involve a steady moderate climb up through woodland past the booster station. The second half of the walk takes you down hill with a few tricky steep'ish parts through more woodland so might be an idea to take hiking poles if you have trouble with knees etc. The views from the top are quite breath-taking and when you get back you can enjoy a drink with some of the best chips around like your granny used to do. None of this oven chip mallarky that some pubs offer. The pub has some lovely outdoor seating if the weather is nice. If you prefer to go inside then you can either enjoy the main part of the pub or if you are in a group you can ask to go in the little room on the righthand side where there are several tables you can enjoy a more private group chat.
